While playing a game of poker yesterday there was this one guy getting on everyone’s tits. He was blatantly playing slow as he took an hour to place his first bet as a wondrous rookie!

It never occurred to me that the nature of slow playing poker could have implications for marketing products! Let me explain, if you’re in a game and a player is extremely slow then you’re in your rights to let them know that they are spoiling the game. Then you can give them a ‘quick response’ label to help them with there hand since the code can quickly determine whether their hand is good or not according to strength and pot odds.

It is a rather extreme way of making a point but sometimes you do need make extraordinary examples to make a point.

On the subject of ‘QR’, do people really want to make the marketers job more easier i the sense that they give up location, smart phone model and other information? Somehow I think QR’s is a model that sounds great until you realise like Google that they want to sell every piece of information of you.

For a laugh, here are some qr codes for the various stuff that we have on the pokeknave network. Hopefully this new icons/bar code will change your life…..
