Roobarb and Custard creator Bob Godfrey dies

Roobarb and Custard creator Bob Godfrey (27 May 1921 – 21 February 2013) dies after a long illness. He will always be remembered for the most creative use of markers pen, the most anarchic story lines ever and the most bonkers cartoon this side of sanity. Any child watching Roobard and Custard will have been transported to a world in which madness was seen a highly credible. As a person I loved it and as most people will accept I totally brought into Bob Godfrey’s world.

In a sort of weird timing the person who vocalised the world of Roobarb and Custard, Richard Briers also died in the same week as Bob Godfrey. Both were universally known as gentlemen and both will be missed.
