This video is a double header because I really sucked out badly in poker. The 1st is ice hockey coach Brent Sapergia doing what I wanted to do and the 2nd is what happened to me. I know how Debbie Turner Bell feels being squirted by a beaver.

Sometime ago i wrote an article about two women who I trained to play poker were all of a sudden started to kick my butt and used techniques that I taught them to beat me! <link 1>

Now one of those women has now fulfilled her journey to become the champion of ”The Vicky” <link 2>.

In truth I felt like a proud schoolmaster seeing on of his original pupils graduating with honours as Debbie was one of two people who wanted to learn to play poker having never knowing a thing about the game. All those Thursday’s nights refusing me the right to go home, did pay dividends.

Debbie won The PokerKnave PokerKlub Challenge Cup beating 14 other rivals to become the first champion of The New Victoria Social Club. Second place went to outsiders Pete who surprised everyone, and, third went to Andrew the unknown quantity from Walsall.

Debbie picked up £75 for coming first and a trophy plus the fact that she can now boast that she is the best player in the venue. Debbie later said ”…I came second in the grand final of the dominoes this afternoon and was determined to win tonight’s poker…”.

This has capped of a very good poker season for a woman who only started playing poker six months ago, and, over the past few months she has shown a degree of skill that made her third favourite – behind the two more seasoned players and favourite amongst the new beginners.
