Poker TV

What is the point of poker TV shows? If they cant come up with a new format I wish they would quietly drift away towards the river as it does get boring when some on-mark tattles on about some guys or girls poor or good judgment followed by howls of bellyaching laughter.

It was OK when Channel 4 did it years ago but now every Tom. Dick and Harry feels they can produce hours and hours of cheapskate programs about some Swedish geezer, with a personality bypass, talking rubbish about how he went all in with a 3 of diamonds and a 4 of hearts because he felt lucky…

Lets face it programs about playing cards are boring it is the drama of losing that makes it exciting. Films such as The Hustler, are only entertaining when the guy loses on a stupid bet. There is another film about a man who dies when he has a heart attack over a hand he is playing and he has betted all the money he has in the world, his wife takes over the hand and plays it. She goes to a bank manager who borrows her the money to continue the hand and I think it is a bluff. The wife who has no idea of the rank of the hand is oblivious to the actual rank of the hand and is just doing what her husband – a mug punter would have done.

Getting back to the point the poker programs need a new format because as 1 hour adverts for poker web sites it has finally ran its course.
