The Pair Of Jacks Formula Is Still Working

Knave on trial

After three and a half years since my very own Damascus flash of light type conversion, I am glad to say that my   formula for playing jacks has held up quite well.

Who would have thought that the formula  P =( 1/3S – C)/R, where P is the pot, S is the stack, R is the raise and C is the seating arrangement and position of play, would be still viable, but it is.

When I played it four times in the last week I had three wins and one loss. The loss was to a guy who went all in with 8, 9 suited and got a straight to Queen, seeing me get trips but nothing more.

So try it out next time you’re faced with a pair of Jacks
