Former WSOP bracelet winner has been found guilty of cheating while playing online poker. He will get 15 months in prison and have around a £1million in assets seized.
His scheme, which seems ingenious was to have multiple names, affiliate accounts and rake deals. Then sitting on one table he could easily out manoeuvre his table opponents because he was playing multiple hands at the same time. He then got a cut from the rake and the pot on top of his table winnings.
His father Morteza Gharoon also got found guilty for laundering money and got a six month suspended sentence.
Here is a list of some of his achievements which was probably financed by his illegal project.
