The film Taxi Driver is a 1976 American vigilante film directed by Martin Scorsese, written by Paul Schrader and starring Robert De Niro. It sets the standard for all slasher, crazy man films and from my experience all taxi drivers.
I have been offered cocaine, Danish currency for UK currency on the pretence that it is legal tender due to UK membership of the EU, the reason why 9/11 was a inside job even though the planes flying into the building look real enough and therefore there was no need for tons of dynamite to blow the buildings up, and raping a wife is no longer permitted because women have more rights than men.
Do you have to take an exam to be a taxi driver nowadays? There was a taxi driver who would not take a guide dog for a blind man, another taxi driver refused to take two gay men because they were holding hands even though the pick up was outside a gay club – why did he accept the job from outside a gay club? These taxi drivers seem to think that you are there to provide them with a living and you should be grateful.
With drink driving being a social no no, taxi firms are cleaning up and making serious money, but the people doing the driving are seemingly motivated to rip off customers and then wonder why they do not get a tip.
It is obvious that the profession is not suited to some people and the sooner they are weeded out the better. Maybe they should watch the film Taxi Driver as a object lesson in how not to practice dubious customer relations.
