Elena Baltacha (14 August 1983 – 4 May 2014)

Elena Baltacha died yesterday after a very short illness which was only diagnosed in January.

A wonderful tennis player, she was also very accommodating to her fans and would not blink an eye if a grown up fan hassled her for a signature.

She liver a husband, mother, father and brother.
