There is nothing worst than getting into a fight while playing poker. The fight can be with an opponenet, the missus the cat or worst of all the internet connection!
More times than i care to remember, my internet connection failed while i was in a winning position/about to make my move with the nut flush after slow playing and being raised and re-raised/needing to protect my blinds while short stack.
Recently it has got extremely annoying and with two laptops i could not get onto the internet to do anything. The fact that my whole life is bound up in http/html/interwb technology is not good as a lack of connection means you do not exist. Emails do not get sent, life is on hold the hundred of thousand Indonesian teenagers who have decided that they want to be my friend on Facebook dont get deleted. Why i have become a cult figure/hero to these teenagers i will never know…
Mobile internet connection is a great idea if it works. When it dosen’t it is tantamount to an infringement of ones human rights. Sometimes i get the idea of litigation for loses due to lost of connection due to the disconnection of my poker site. i think i remember that the mighty Betfair had such a problem and literally gave out thousands of pounds to players rather than suffer the indignation of explaining in court the reason why there poker software was so bad.
So in the nature of anger i will try and do the decent thing and not mention the company that are providing me with this heartache. However Three are reasonaly priced and when their system works and can be very rewarding.
