Sylvia Robinson RIP
Sylvia Robinson the pioneer of Hip Hop has been dying on 29th September last 2011. She was very much famous for her style, rap, and for the song pillow talk of 1973. She was mainly the singer, songwriter, as well as the Co-founder of the team Sugar Hill Gang. Robinson was a black woman putting the rap song but nowadays this is voided out of it.
Small Summary of life: Sylvia Robinson born on 1936 in vender pool in New York. At the age of 14 she has started recording with the name little Sylvia. Then she started recording from 1957 and got the taste of being top with the song Love Is Strange. The song was with her partner and the after 15 years she again got the top with her own song the pillow talk. But on 29 September 2011 this singer has died at the age of 75 for cognitive heart failure.
Career life: Robinson was a famous singer, songwriter, performer and the Co-founder of the sugar hill gang. She started her career life from the age of 14 when she recorded the song Love is Strange. And then she has performed a lot of songs and pioneer of the Hip Hop production. Despite her success in 1979 her life takes a small turn when she saw the performance of Harlem world disco.
There she saw that the DJs is playing music and talking over the music and the little peoples are going crazy. Then in 1997 she told the New Jersey Star Ledger to record something with her song. Then she finds that it was called rap.
Contribution to the music: Sylvia Robinson has a great contribution on the ground of music. She has introduced the song of Hip Hop production to most of the people in the world. She also performed a lot of songs with her team Sugar hill gang along with her husband Joe. The Pillow talk, Love is Strange, funky four plus one and Rappers Delight is notable. Message was another important record of Robinson which was recorded in 1982.
Death: on 29th September 2011 this heroic singer dies with a congestive heart failure on Thursday morning. She was leaving three surviving children along with many grandchildren. Sugar hill was her gang of producing Hip Hop and she was the co-founder of the team. Now The Sugar Hill has recorded their new album.
