Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014
Maybe it was all the drama and excitement of London Olympics 2012, but the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow seem really dull and quiet. The opening ceremony which featured housewives favourite John Barrowman was so meh that yours truly fell asleep and the impulse to watch sport which mainly feature people sitting down or people having a sedate stroll has not really been ignited.
They call it the friendly games because it resembles a afternoon tea session and consequently that is the flavour of the entertainment. Will get get any excitement…probably not! The highlight was apparently the gay kiss with the aforementioned John Barrowman. When two men kissing is the highlight then you know you’re in trouble.
