Sun Myung Moon Dies

Sun Myung Moon 25 February 1920 – 3 September 2012

Controversial religious leader Sun Myung Moon died today aged 92. The Korean born reverend had stated that he was ‘the messiah’ and he was the man appointed by Jesus to carry out his work and bring all Christians together. Famed for the multiple weddings in which 30,000+ people got married and his extensive business dealings, a lot of people had a problem with Reverend Moon and his The Holy Spirit(ual) Association for the Unification of World Christianity and often called him a leader of a cult.

A fervent anti-communist Sun Myung Moon was a major sponsor of anti-communist leaders and organisation. His highest profile symbol is The Washington Times a newspaper famed for it’s extreme right wing agenda and hilariously deranged  comments on its website. In 1995 his wife Han claimed that Reverend Moon was responsible for the fall of communism and in 2004 he crowned himself  with the ”Crown of Peace” which further the claim of him being a cult leader.
