Bob Crow – union leader and former communist, died on Tuesday after a massive heart attack. He was a man who stood for labour and making sure that his members and other workers had the best deal possible.
Those on the right and those on the side of the bosses hated him and tried to denigrate his efforts mercilessly. They attacked his salary, they attacked his house, they attacked his negotiating skills. But in the end defending the rights to a living wage and the rights to a affordable living standards in one of the most expensive cities in the World will always be his byline and his legacy.
