Mitt Romney
Politics is poker! Mitt Romney maybe a great businessman but he seems to be a lousy poker player. At the moment he is refusing to release his tax returns except for two years. He argues that he does not have to release his tax returns and therefore he wont. Yes, he does not have to release his tax forms but it is now accepted that releasing your tax returns will show everyone that you are honest and open.
Mitt Romney believes that the public should just accept that he is honest and open, this is pure crazy poker! Crazy poker is when you have to argue with someone that because they’ve paired a deuce in the hand to one on the board does not give them a better hand than two 10’s and two 8’s on the board. In fact they have lost depending on what their other card is.
Crazy poker will have massive arguments about big and little blinds. Some people are opposed to the very notion of big and little blinds arguing they are forced taxation on the game. This would apply to the ongoing tax debate in the US. Some people think that they are Tax Enough Already and some thing the rich are getting away with minimum taxation. Mitt Romney is on the side of the TEA party and wants to see lower tax rates.
How are they going to raise revenue to pay for the crumbling infrastructure will be interesting since they believe that private money will be the answer to everything and the national state will have been cut down to size!
However, this argument may not win since Mitt Romney personal taxation is now the issue and Obama cleverly has put it to the US population that you cannot trust a guy who wont release his tax returns and hides his money in off shore accounts. Why is Mitt Romney so keen on building up other nations and not his own? Why would Mitt Romney investment in off shore accounts be good for the country?
Clearly at this moment in time President Obama is a much better poker player than Romney. Romney does have the crazy right wing supporters who will say anything to destroy Obama, but, unless they are better at coming forth with Romney’s personal information and less of the ‘Obama is a muslim, terrorist who works with bin Laden’, Obama will win – just.
