Casey Kasem (April 27, 1932 – June 15, 2014)

The man who made reading the Top 40, Top 20 and Top 10 for pop singles a regular feature for millions of people died. Casey Kasem was one of those guys who never caused offence, who always tried to be nice and make his viewers and fans feel comfortable in letting their children or their elderly relatives listen to his silky tones.

Casey Kasem was also the voice behind Shaggy in Scooby Doo cartoons a little known gem of knowledge. Mr Kasem seemed to have a terrible time in dying and that cannot be undone. Whoever, he will always be remembered for coming out with the corniest but profound ending anyone can have…”Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars…”!
