Oh la la, what does a homemaker, mother and business woman do with her spare time? Well she learns to play poker and embarks on a career as a model! PokerKnave.com is proud to introduce a new Poker Totty on the block – Gemma Latham!
Do you play Texas Hold ‘Em or Omaha?
I am learning how to play Texas hold ’em at the minute but I’m not very good at it.
What do you think of the game of poker?
It’s quite a challenge but I love challenges. It is a very skilful game and highly addictive!
What is your daytime job?
I am a stay at home mum and agony aunt to all my friends and family which I love!
What would your advice be to someone like Gordon Brown? 🙂
My advice to Gordon Brown, god that’s a tough one, honestly I would
tell him to resign and get someone else who knows what they are doing
to do his job, most civilians could do a better job.
How would you describe yourself physically?
Curvy, busty and brunette I’m not perfect but who is?
Which designer do you admire?
I can’t say I admire designers really. I tend to buy clothes I like
the look of and that look good on me.
When did you decide that modelling maybe a career for you?
I have always dreamed of becoming a model but I didn’t actually take the plunge till December 2008, I had a huge push from a good friend.
How are you finding the modelling scene?
It is quite daunting really I am a shy girl and not used to being in the lime light so scary but fun is an accurate way of describing it. Most of the photographers I have met so far have been really nice and
fun to work with.
Who are your favourite models?
I like Jodie Kidd; she has got a great sense of adventure. I also like Tyra Banks as she is so fierce but also fair!
What sort of music and artist do you like?
I like rock, pop, and some R&B. Artists I like include Queen, The
Pussycat Dolls and Madonna.
Do you have any hobbies?
I am learning to play the Guitar, read lots of books and also do
cross stitch.
Needle craft seem to be the in thing at the moment, why do you thing this is?
I was introduced to cross stitch at the age of 13 by my foster
sister to calm me down ( I was a bit of a rebel back then) over the years I have picked it up and put it down but it is always something that helps take my mind off things. It is very therapeutic, and I think for most people it is the amazement and magic (so to speak) of starting off with a piece of aida and some threads and ending up with a beautiful piece of work.
What is your favourite entertainment?
My kids and my dog as they can be so funny at times!
Which cuisine do you prefer?
I love pasta dishes but also quite keen on Indian cuisine.
If you had a choice would it be a Prada handbag or a Jimmy Choo shoes?
It would have to be the handbag I’m a bit of a disgrace to the
female population as I’m not too fussed about shoes.
Which city would you like to be in and why?
Not really a city person but I would love to go to Italy I love old
historic places and of course the vineyards.
Would you describe yourself as a wine aficionado?
I enjoy a decent glass of wine every now and again but it’s my partner who is a bit of an expert I generally leave it up to him to say if it’s a nice wine or not to be honest if he doesn’t like it I do and vice versa 🙂
Thank you Gemma for your time.
Your welcome xx
