Why is Bill Roache being announced as being a potential rapist, who raped a girl 40+ years ago? Why is Rolf Harris named as a man being questioned for incidences that may have happened 50+ years ago? Recently David Cameron apologised to people who were said to have had bad things happened to them 60+ years ago. And, finally 400+ years ago William Shakespeare was part of a great conspiracy to falsify the author of  plays he was supposed to have written.

The thing about these allegations is that they are very subjective and personal . There are usually no witnesses and over time usually no physical evidence in the form of DNA. The shame of being raped is massive but also the shame of being the rapist is bad. People accused of rape should be given anonymity just in case they are innocent. Since the law of double jeopardy is no longer allowed this does make catching criminals easier. 

My arguments also apply to the argument that William Shakespeare could not have written his stuff because he came from the wrong class! I may have written about this before and will probably write about it again as the class hatred is still strong and ubiquitous within UK society. It is sad but it is so strong and so anonymous. If these people have solid evidence why have they not produced it?   Simply they have no evidence just prejudice based on centuries of keeping the lower classes down. 

The thing about the UK we love the class system. In a way it was the class system which is being investigating the alleged sex abuse carried out by Jimmy Savile. Jimmy Savile was big mates with Mrs Thatcher, so was Bill Roache and Rolf Harris. They all come from a certain class and it is Operation Yewtree (the investigation into Jimmy Savile’s sex allegations) which has thrown up these cases. 

The big sex scandal which featured a care home in Wales and was on the radar years ago has only been acted on recently even though there were allegations that it involved some serious upper class power brokers. For the last 30 odd years there have been continuous claims of abuse and it is only recently that the authorities have taken it seriously with Operation Pallial.

Operation Pallial has published phase one of their report and came up with astonishing figures that between 1963 and 1992 there is 140 allegations of abuse on boys and girls aged between 7 and 19! If this goes to court and they will, they still should receive anonymity.

Last 29 October 2011 was the day which cannot be forgotten by most of the DJ fans, because it is the day of Jimmy Savile died. He was a famous personality from many aspects. Small biography: Jimmy Savile born on 31st October 1956 in Leeds, West Yorkshire in England. He was a British in Nationality and Roman Catholic in religion. Jimmy was a famous disk jockey, television personality, and actor, owner of dance halls as well as a social worker and charity fundraiser. He was the first and the last presenter of long running BBC music show Top of the Pops. His full name was Sir James Wilson Vincent Jimmy Savile.

Carrier life: During the Second World War Jimmy had to do the work in a coal mine as Bevin boy. He started his career in radio as playing records then he started Disk Jockey at Radio Luxemburg in 1958. Then in 1960 he was appointed with television and started the Top of the pops in 1964 as the first presenter. Then he becomes famous in the 60s, 70s, and 80s centuries for his DJs and as a presenter on television.

Fund Raising, sponsorship, and voluntary work: He was very much prominent for his voluntary work for the people. He was a volunteer at the hospital Stoke Mandeville Hospital for many years. He raised his funds for the patient having problems with the spinal cord. Savile was the president of the Physically Handicapped in the able bodied community for long 14 years. He donated money for the medical student for doing research at Leeds hospital. In every year he had donated more than $60000.

Allegations of sexual abuse: during the lifetime and after his death many thought and claim that Jimmy abused the women, young and under aged child as well as he had abused the little child also. After his death on September 2012 a documentary published named The Other Side of Jimmy Savile. Where more than ten women including a girl under the age of 14 has said that they were sexually abused by Jimmy.

Jimmy Savile was very much famous for his television programs he has presented. He has raised estimated $40 million for charity. Before his death he was admitted for pneumonia but his death is not suspicious.

50 Shades of Grey

 Before I give my views and opinion, let me first say that I have not read the book. All the guys I the guys I know have not read the book. However, we have all feel the effects of the book with women coming up and giving us men their in depth views and critique about the books subject.

It seems that it has managed to free women from pressure of being demure in the presence of men. Women now have the right to say ”…I want deviant sex as much as a man….” which, in my view,  is absolutely fine and dandy especially if I am on the receiving end of this mission!

A lot of feminist are saying that it encourages bad writing and other naughty behaviour. From what I have heard it is clear that it is a book in which the author has probably never done anything as subversive as Sado-masochist sex. She seems to be ‘painting by numbers’ when it comes to describing the sexual encounters. This maybe an indictment but when you hear the way describe the whole experience of reading book, they do n ot seem to mind they love the idea of a load or women getting together and sharing the experience of reading the book.

In a way it is the same that happened with Harry Potter books. People were openly reading them on the tube and discussing the merits of each episode. Likewise %0 Shades of Grey allow women to openly discuss the book, its topics and whether it is worth their while to get all hot and flustered with the partners their with or should they leave it to the imagination and make sure the electricity bill is paid by the weekend.

Every now and then we in the UK need some major trivial distraction to make us do something intellectual, and, 50 Shades of Grey is filling the desire for intellectual stimulation. It just so happens to make sexual encounters more interesting especially when you are made an offer to ‘….stick it up … …..!’ If you know what I mean?

Maybe women were always this way? It is clear that the amount of times I have heard ”…I never normally do this….”, it has become a cliché. There is nothing wrong with carnal desires, and, the book has seemed to open the way for debate amongst women about all sorts of things such as massage parlours and why they seem to get away in being openly brothels, rape in marriage, abortion, religion and the sexual imperative,  is a sadism a legitimate pursuit for a man with money to inflict on a woman without money etc etc?

These are big topics and as education free people from religious, cultural and societal restraint we will get more of this type of discussions, and why not?

A new morality tale is unfolding in West London and it features the toxic mix of money, gambling, sex, class politics, football and drink. The England captain has been caught with his hands in his best friends former girlfriends knickers. He tried to get the courts to ban the news therefore stop the whole country from reading about it – this failed and now it will be plastered all around countries newspaper. The reason why this is big news is that in some peoples eyes being captain of England is more important than being Prime Minister of The UK.

John Terry has constantly been surrounded by this type of situation. In the old Daily Digest #43 his mother and mother in law were caught shop lifting and were given a caution. His dad was filmed acting like a drug dealer selling a few grams of cocaine to a news reporter. John Terry himself was reprimanded for making drunken fun of American tourist who were in a state of distress when they watch the attack of the Twin Towers on 9/11 at Heathrow Airport.

He has been constantly caught out having sex with numerous women, each time his wife has forgiven him,  he has been caught out trying to make a quick pound out of some racket or another. The latest racket he has been involved in was offering tours around Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge – his football club for £10,000! Why is he doing these things?

Quite simply John Terry is a gambler and likes to take risk and if you constantly take risk you will get caught out every now and then. It is an urban legend that John Terry was losing £40,000 per week! OK he is on £170,000 per week at Chelsea plus his numerous endorsement making his wealth to be about £17 million so he is not in the poor house, however, if this is true then he is want is known in the trade as a mug gambler.

As a mug gambler there is a need to replenish resources constantly and John Terry exhibits these qualities in abundance. So he has to get another source of income other than the day job. Some mug punters have a second job others use credit cards, some even resort to robbery or fraud. The fact is mug punters lose and lose heavily, hence their need to stock up the bank balance. In fact the whole family seem to be mug punters as I detailed above.

John Terry last big bet was trying to gag the countries newspapers to stop the story going out about his relationship with his best friends ex who is also mother to his child. Apparently Wayne Bridge is spitting fire at the ‘betrayal’ with his long time girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel – a lingerie model. Wayne Bridge has just recently broke up with Vanessa Perroncel and has made it be known that he will have nothing to do with John Terry – which makes it a bit difficult since they are both in the England national side.

Will John Terry lose the England captaincy – you betcha! The surprising thing about this tale is that it wasn’t about his wife knowing it was more about him losing the very lucrative sponsorship deals, just like the Tiger Woods saga. The difference being this could be the destroying of John Terry because unlike Tiger Woods Terry likes to gamble and gamble big. He bets at rubbish odds and is known as a mug punter. This could be the beginning of the end for John Terry – not good if you want to win the World Cup 2010.

J.D Salinger

The life and death of the great writer JD Salinger is testament of life imitating art. Quite clearly Salinger hated growing old and therefore a ‘responsible adult’. In the book he wants to be a noble warrior a saviour of children but is persuaded not to do this. In a way it is like the tale of Don Quixote a man who loses his mind and decides that he needs to go out and do some heroic deed but ends up being mad and deluded.

With Catcher in The Rye he seems to want to be a grown up adult but needs to cling on to things that inspire a youngster. In a way its the gamblers template especially a gambler who likes to play roulette or horses seriously. By initiating an attempt to overturn maths a gambler is in denial. Looking to find the ‘edge’ that makes them invincible breaking the ‘bank’ and inevitable destroying the turf/casino accountants.

To be a gambler is to be a youth in a fight with the reality of growing up and trying to deny that process. Look how a gambler will shout at a screen with a horse race on it or shout at crap dice to be the number that will make them a rich. Luck is a whore and as the song goes ‘…luck be a lady tonight…’. The book Catcher In The Rye deals with paid for sex as a gambler treats luck – a needy but amoral process.

Some will say that JD Salinger summed up the teenager culture which exploded in the 1950′s and 1960′s. I tend to the belief that it represented the mind set of a gambler in the pursuit of dreams over reality.

While the death of Salinger will be raked over for weeks and weeks another side of cultural life was launched onto society – Abba has now got a theme park, why! Abba represents soppy dreams of a perfect world, where everyone is nice even in marital break up. No one is horrible or bitter just resigned and accepting. If Catcher in the rye represented alienation and dysfunction then Abba represent unbridled hope and passivity. Somewhere in the middle lies the path of truth.

…what can i say? You have always been high in my estimation especially when you were kicking butt, winning once every 3 games. But now you have kept all these women quiet while partying like a pimp – fair play to ya!

All this stuff about marriage infidelity is fair enough but it has happened before and undoubtedly it will happen again. in defence of Elin Woods sometimes domestic violence does have a point.
